Campbelltown Performing Arts High school has an active sports program which caters for the diverse students needs.
Sport
The school runs an integrated sports model for years 7-10 which is organise by the PDHPE faculty and supported by additional staff and includes a weekly allocation for sport.
During this time students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sporting activities. The program varies throughout the year and includes students rotating through different sports and having the opportunity to select sport to participate in at times.
Knockout Sports
Throughout the year students have the opportunity to trial for sports to represent the school in a number of teams. The school representative teams compete in NSW Combined High School (CHS) competitions and the sports include Football, Basketball, Rugby League, Touch football and Netball.
Carnivals
Throughout the year a number of sports carnivals are also held to provide the students with the opportunity to participate in various sports. These events include athletics, swimming, and cross country.
The events also provide a platform to build relationships between students and teachers, develop community connections and a sense of belonging within the school.
Students who perform well in these carnivals then have the opportunity to represent the school at the Zone. Further success will see them compete at Regional and State level competitions.
